graduation ceremony

On 1 Mar. I've taken a leave. I went to Hita high school for my son's graduation ceremony.
The ceremony was held from 10 a.m. at shintaiikukan (new gymnasium). There was an another gymnasium where the graduates were waiting.
The gymnasium used to be called kyutauukukan (old gymnasium). It was renewed because of aging.When the repair work began, the teachers, students and parents wondered how it would be called. Since the shintaiikukan had been built it has been called kyutaiikukan. But it is inappropriate if the kyutaiikukan is newer than shintaiikukan.
The renewed one has renamed the second gymnasium. A wise resolution.
We call the two playground first playground and second playground. So we'll becom accustomed to the new name soon.

After the ceremony had started it began to rain. While the principal's address it sundered. It sounded so heavily that I thought someone had fallen the broadcasting machinery.
The representative of the graduates' address was given by Mr.Eiji K , ex student council president. The phrase "Coming the time the cherry blossoms fall, but our souls will never be scattered" made the climax of his speech.
The graduates were walking out in the applause.
On the way they exited each classes by turns, except fourth and fifth class, the students lined in front of teachers to say thanks to them, then turned around to the parents and second grade students to say also.
One of the graduate's mother said almost of the forth and fifth class students had not decided their course so they might not want to do such a thing. I thought they simply exited because not to take long time.
The graduates and their parents went to home room. In the end of the home room activity my son's teacher told the students about letting her know their result of the entrance exams, and about the third term exam. At the last each of us took the whole class mates photo.

For that was the first day, it was the Cinema Day usually. My son and I had planed to see the movie "Mother". I went to the theater. But the theater was closed. In front of the door there was a bill telling the day was closed, the next day would be a Cinema Day instead.
I was dis appointed.

On second Mar. my son and I went to see the movie "Mother". Both he and I were impressed. The scenario was tremendously excellent and the actress performed the fatal mother convincingly. I was moved so much.

3月1日休みをとりました。倅の卒業式のため日田高に行きました。
卒業式は10時から新体育館でありました。もうひとつの体育館で卒業生は待機しました。
その体育館は旧体育館と呼ばれていました。老朽化のため改築されました。改修工事が始まるとき、先生、生徒、親たちはそれを何と呼ぶようになるのだろうといぶかりました。新体育館が出来てからそれは旧体育館と呼ばれていました。しかし、旧体育館が新体育館より新しくなったらへんです。新しい呼び方は第２体育館でした。賢い決定です。グラウンドは第１グラウンド、第２グラウンドと呼んでいますから、すぐ慣れると思います。

式が始まってから雨が降り出しました。校長の挨拶のとき雷が鳴りました。ものすごい音だったので誰かが放送機器を落としたのかと思いました。
卒業生代表の挨拶は元生徒会長のえいじ君がしました。「時が来ればさくらの花は散ってしまうけれど、僕達の心は決して散り散りにはなりません」というせりふがクライマックスでした。
卒業生がみんなの拍手の中を退場していきました。4組と5組以外は、クラスごとに退場していく途中で並んで先生方の前でお礼を述べ、振り返って保護者と2年生たちに同じようにしました。
4組5組は進路が決まっていない生徒が多いからそんな気持ちになれないのかも、と母親の一人が言っていました。私は時間をとらせないように何もせず退場していったのかと思いました。
卒業生と保護者は教室に行きました。ホームルームの終わりごろ先生は生徒たちに入試の合否の連絡をすることと後期試験のことを言いました。最後にそれぞれがクラス写真を撮りました。

1日は通常は映画の日です。倅と私は『母なる証明』を見にいくつもりでした。でも映画館に行ったら閉まっていました。ドアの前に貼紙があって、本日は休みで代わりに明日を映画の日にすると書いてありました。
がっかりしました。

3月2日　倅と私は『母なる証明』の映画を見に行きました。二人とも感動しました。脚本がすばらしく、女優さんが破滅的な母親を説得力をもって演じていました。すごくよかったです。
