A shocking crime

I was surprised to find an article in the newspaper on last Friday. It was a nightmarish crime.
It said a high school teacher had been under arrest by breaking the law banning child prostitution.
He had met a girl on dating sites. She was a fourteen-aged junior high school student.
I knew some of my son's friend went to the high school. I said to my son, "Well, the students should be shocked feeling they are betrayed." He replied, "They might not."
The suspicious man has been working at high schools by contract for ten years, finally he had become a regular worker last year. I suppose he is enduring.
The prefectural board of education department of high school education has made the teachers and the clerks get a lot of studies so far, about sexual harassment,drag, and safe driving. Were those complacence?
I can't imagine what has made him. Is he living alone for many years? Did he feel lonely? I hope he knew Sally Nichols, who wrote the following, "Cats are friendly and very comforting in times of distress."
I'm anxious about the other person. Was she forced to be a prostitute, or did she decide by herself? She is fourteen, it means she is under the protection of somebody. Is she treated badly?
I can't blame the prostitution itself. I know there were many women working as prostitute to get the living soon after world war Ⅱ. There were no other way to feed their children and family. I respect the women for their wills to survive. Of course I can't respect the person who commit it and the brokers of trafficking.
I feel human trafficking guilty. The knowledge or working skills can be sold, but human bodies can't be sold. Isn't it common sense? I consider again by this case.

A topic from my daughter's junior high school. The ex ALT Ms Vania has gone home. Then a new ALT has come to junior high school.
His name is Noah. He is twenty one. My daughter said he was not so tall. He is from New York. His parents had come to U.S. from India. His father is a surgeon and he is intend to be a brain surgeon.
He performed moon walk and pretended Obama's speech. I suppose he is attractive and smart.
I'm looking forward to seeing his lesson by chance.
Probably he comes to junior high school twice a month. I hope both the ALT and the students will gain happy experience.

先週の金曜日、新聞の記事を見て驚きました。悪夢のような犯罪でした。
高校の先生が児童買春で逮捕されたと書いてありました。出会い系サイトで14歳の中学生の少女に会ったのです。
その高校には倅の友人も行っているので、倅に言いました。「わあ、裏切られたってショックを受けてるかも」　倅は応えました。「そんなことはないやろ」
その容疑者は10年高校で講師をしており昨年採用されていました。ねばり強いと思います。　県教委高校教育課は何度も職員に研修を受けさせました、セクハラ、薬物、安全運転など。　自己満足だったのでしょうか？
なぜ彼がそうなったのかはわかりません。何年も一人で暮らしていたのでしょうか。さびしかったのでしょうか。サリー・ニコルズを読んでいたらよかったのに、彼女はこう書いています。「猫は友好的で、つらい時なぐさめてくれる。」
もう一人のほうも心配です。売春させられたのか、自分でしたのか。14歳ということは誰か保護者がいるということです。ちゃんと面倒みてもらってないのでしょうか。
売春そのものは　責めることはできません。戦後まもなく多くの女性が生きるためにそうしたのでした。子ども、家族をたべさせるためにはそれしかなかったのです。彼女たちの生き残ろうとする意志を尊敬します。もちろん客と周旋屋は尊敬できません。人身売買はやましいと思います。知識や仕事のスキルは商品になりますが人間は商品にはなりません。それは常識ではないのでしょうか？改めて考えさせられました。

娘の中学校の話題です。元ＡＬＴのバニアさんが国に帰ってその後新しいＡＬＴが来ました。名前はノアです。21歳です。娘によるとそんなに背は高くなくて、ニューヨークから来たそうです。ご両親はインド出身だそうです。お父さんは外科医で、ノアさんも脳外科医になりたいということです。
ムーンウォークをしてみせてオバマのスピーチの真似もしてくれたそうです。魅力的で賢い人なのだろうと思います。
授業を見る機会があることを楽しみにしています。
たぶん1ヶ月に2回中学校にやって来ます。ＡＬＴも生徒たちも楽しい経験ができることを願っています。
