I saw the Indian movie

The  year-end and New Year holidays have started just today.

   After lunch, I went to Hita cinematheque Liberte, where two Indian movies are on screen now.

   Lucky for me 27 is Liberte-day, that means you can see a movie for 1000 yen.
  I saw “The lunchbox” and “BARFI!”.

  About  “the Lunchbox” I could imagine how the heroine, Ira, felt easily.
  She is a housewife. There are two women she trusts on, her mother and her aunt.
  Both of them are taking care of their husbands. Taking care of patient demands patience mote than taking care of children.
  Nobody knows when it will end.
Ira’s husband doesn’t pay attention to her. She makes lunch very earnestly to get his affection. But the lunch in the lunchbox was delivered incorrectly. The man who was delivered the lunch is a widow who are going to resign his office. They exchange letters putting in the lunchbox.

   She wants to escape her situation. He suggests to go to Bhutan.
  It was clear that if those two would go to Bhutan she won’t be happy.
  In the middle of the story, I expected that the man encouraged her that she would be able to run a food catering business. She might gain so much money that she would have not  to stick her husband who was cheating on her.
  But the scenario was not so optimistic.
  It is difficult to fill somebody’s heart who have lost their sweetheart.

  About “BALFI!” it was awesome. The actor played the hero who was deaf and dumb authentically.　It was amazing.
  It was a love story with a little bit mystery.
  The protagonist, the scenery of mountain area, rural village, downtown, and the music by the  bandoneon were all attractive.

  I am so glad to have chatted the theater’s manager.
  He said there’s a cinema club which young people learn cinema. High school students or college students have got the lecture at the theater.
  I’m very envy them. It sounds so nice to have opportunities to see sophisticated movie in their youth.

 I will go there again on next Liberte-day.

今日から年末年始休暇が始まった。
昼ごはんを食べてから日田シネマテークリベルテに行った。いま２本のインド映画が上映中だから。
幸い２７日はリベルテの日で１０００円で見ることができる。 『めぐり逢わせのお弁当』と『バルフィ！　人生に唄えば』を見た。
『めぐり逢わせのお弁当』は主人公の女性の気持ちがよくわかった。
彼女は主婦。彼女が頼りにしている女性が二人いる、母親とおばさんだ。
どちらの女性も夫を介護している。病人を介護するのは子どもの世話よりずっと忍耐を要する。いつ終わるかわからない。
イラの夫は彼女に関心がない。彼女は夫の愛情を得ようとして熱心に弁当を作る。だが、そのお弁当はまちがって届けられる。間違って配達されたのはもうすぐ退職しようとしている寡夫。二人は弁当箱に手紙を入れてやりとりする。
彼女はいまの状況を脱出したい。彼はブータンを勧める。
彼らがブータンに行っても幸せになれないことははっきりしていた。
映画の途中で、この男が彼女に食べ物商売を始めるようすすめるかと思った。彼女がお金を稼げれば浮気している夫にしがみつく必要はなくなる。
でも、脚本はそんな楽天的じゃなかった。愛する人を失った人の心を満たすのは簡単じゃない。

『バルフィ！』はすばらしかった。ろうあ者の役を演じた俳優は本物みたいだった。驚くほどすばらしかった。
ラブストーリーに少々推理が混じっていた。
登場人物、山岳地方、田舎の村、下町の風景、バンドネオンの音楽、すべてが魅力的だった。

シアターの支配人さんと話せたのはうれしかった。映画について学ぶシネマクラブがあるそうだ。高校生、大学生がここで講義を聞いているんだそうだ。なんとも羨ましい。若いときに上質の映画を観る機会があるなんてなんていいことだろう。
次のリベルテの日にもまた行こう。
