Last Saturday my third eldest son's teacher had visited my home. He said my son seemed having no problem at school. He even makes joke with his mates. When the teacher talks to him,he replies, my son isn't the first to say.
I take him hasn't always been interested in studies in high school, and hasn't expecting to study at college. I always tell him try to figure out how to make a living.
The choice is possible for him to have more than one, going on to higher, and getting employment.
An example, he goes to literature 1 course in his senior going to take exam for public officer, if he could pass he would be employed, if he couldn't pass, he would continue studying and take National Center Exam and take exam for college or junior college.
Both exams are difficult. I hope he realize it. Because he loves playing video games, I think it's appropriate for him to get an occupation which he can afford playing games on weekdays and holiday.
Recently, a work bothers me, a questionnaire. My chief has taken a questionnaire about students' behavior of reading.
"Have you read any book last month?" "Have you read any magazine?" "What have you read?" "Do you like doing research?" "Do you know the campaign of National Reading Year?" and so on.
What magazine have they read? the answers are comic, fashion, cosmetics, motorbike, game, weekly general magazine.
Some of them always care their appearance. They take it clothes are the only way they can show the public what they are or who they would like to be. Others are fond of video games, also motorbike.
How do they feel like about reading? They feel it good, useful.
How do they feel like the person who favors reading? They have some impression about the person, as smart, earnest, serious, reliable, quiet.
The survey have done at each high school in Oita pref. Later we can see all the tendency.
先週の土曜日３番目の倅の家庭訪問がありました。先生は倅は学校では特に問題はなさそうといいました。倅は友だちと軽口さえたたくそうです。先生が話しかけると答えるけど、倅からは話しかけないそうです。
私は倅はどの教科にも興味はなさそうに思いますし、大学で何かを勉強したがっているとも思いません。いつもどうやって口を糊すか考えなさい、と言っています。
選択は、進学就職のどちらかひとつには限りません。
たとえば、高３で文１コースに行き、公務員の試験を受けて受かれば就職し、受からなければ勉強を続けてセンター試験を受け大学受験する、ということができます。
どちらの試験も困難です。それを理解してほしいです。倅はゲームが大好きですので、平日休日にゲームをできる余裕のあるところに就職したらいいと思います。
最近 ひとつ面倒な仕事がありました。アンケート調査です。主任が生徒の読書傾向に関するアンケートをとりました。
「先月本を読みましたか？」 「雑誌を読みましたか？」 「何を読みましたか？」 「調べ学習は好きですか？」 「国民読書年を知っていましたか？」 などなど。
どんな雑誌を読んでいるか。 答えは、漫画、服、化粧、化粧品、バイク、ゲーム、総合雑誌です。いつも外見を気にする生徒もいます。洋服だけが、彼らを他者に対して自分が何者か、何者になりたいと思っているかを示す方法だと考えます。 ゲームやバイクが好きな生徒もいます。
読書についてどんなイメージをもっているか。 よいこと、役立つことと思っています。
読書が好きな人についてどんな印象をもっているか。 頭がよい、まじめ、熱心、頼りになる、おとなしいという印象をもっています。
この調査は大分県の各高校で行っています。後日 その傾向についてわかるでしょう。

Home visiting
On 19 June I'll see my son's high school teacher at my home.
We'll talk about my third-eldest son's course.
He seems to desire neither to go to university nor to find a job.
If he doesn't want to study something at university, going to university is waste of time and money.
But he may want to go to university to gain time.
Though he isn't so clever, he isn't brick-head.
He hardly knows various lifestyles. He is sociably naive.
And he doesn't know a differential regulated by educational background. In Japan there's no obvious class.
Instead of it there is meritocracy. So we tend to get educational background as highly as possible.
I slightly hope him to go to university. I admit it my vanity. I hope him get stable life with having stable job.
It is hard for me to afford the expences for university. But I'm willing to pay if he wants to go.
Of cource to make dicision is his business. I put my idea behind his will.
6月19日倅の高校の先生が家庭訪問に来ます。 3番目の倅の進路について話します。
大学に行きたがっているようにも就職したがっているようにも見えません。
何か勉強したいのでなければ、大学へ行くのは時間と金の浪費です。
しかし、時間を稼ぐために進学したいかもしれません。

My son's high school life
I've received a journal of junior from my son's home room teacher with his report card.
The high school teachers talked about the serial stealing at PTA meeting held on May. According to the journal the stealing continue.
On the other hand, according to the bulletin of Hita city library near by the high school, some magazines had been stolen.
Why the person steal what he /she wants.?
After he /she had succeeded to graze money or goods in secret, that might have become common.
If the cost that he/she must pay when the crime is exposed was big enough, he/she might quit.
By all means I hope the criminal to be caught. I don't care i they use a secret camera in a limited way.
Those who think themselves to be allowed to steal if not found are cheat.
Irregular lost of money or goods makes many people anxious. I'm one of them. I hope my son's school life to be cheerful and decent.
倅の成績表といっしょに2年学年だよりが送られてきました。
5月のPTAでも盗難のことを先生が言っていましたが、学年だよりによるとその後も盗難が続いているそうです。
一方、高校のすぐ近くの市立図書館だよりによると雑誌が盗難にあっているらしいです。
なぜその人は欲しいものを盗むのでしょう？
見つからずにお金や品物を手に入れることができると、それがあたりまえになってしまうのかもしれません。
見つかったときに払うコストが大きければやめるかもしれません。
ぜひ犯人を捕まえておしいです。限定的にかくしカメラを使ってもかまわないと思います。
見つからなければ盗んでもよいと考える人はずるいと思います。

Shopping
On 29th May I went out with my daughter and my son by car.
My daughter wanted to go to shopping at Shimamura and my son wanted to sell his video games and rent some DVDs at Tsutaya.
First er arrived at Shimamura. My son said he would rather wait in the car, so my daughter and I entered the shop.
In the shop I remembered my son needed some clothes, and at that time my daughter could help him to choose clothes.
He is one of those who never seem to be the least bit influenced by fashion.
But I thought he needed one or two clothes to look like his mates, hopefully popular.
I hardly know which clothes are fashionable. So I let my daughter choose for him two T-shirts and a short sleeve top.
She also bought her own. Those were inexpensive.
Why the products of Shimamura are inexpensive?
According to the book titled "A grande at Starbucks is a good deal!" written by Yoshimoto Yoshio, they have done quality checkup, putting price tags, sorting for each branch, and packing in China where the labor cost is inexpensive. Then they import altogether by container shipping, carry into the Shimamura distribution center. This system cut the distribution cost three-tenth.
Then we went to Tsutaya. He sold some video games. I signed and showed my driver's lisence. He received eight thousand yen and some coins.
He spends his disposable time for playing video games and watching video clips at home. Perhaps he lives on games.
５月２９日 娘と倅と私で、クルマででかけました。
娘はしまむらで買い物をしたくて、倅はツタヤでゲームを売ってＤＶＤを借りたかったのです。
最初にしまむらに着きました。倅はクルマで待っとくと言いましたので、娘と店に入りました。
店の中で、倅にも服を買ってやらなくちゃと思い出しました。そのときだったら娘に服を選ぶのを手伝ってもらえます。
倅は流行にこれぽっちも関心がありません。
しかし、私は友だちと同じようなのが、できればはやりのが必要だと思いました。
私はどういう服が今風なのか全然わかりません。それで娘にＴシャツ２枚と半そでの上着１枚見立ててもらいました。
娘も自分の服を買いました。安かったです。
どうしてしまむらの服は安いのでしょうか？
吉川佳男の書いた『スタバではグランデを買え』によると、商品の検品、値札つけ、店別の仕分けをすべて、人件費の安い中国で行ってからまとめてコンテナで輸入し、そのコンテナをしまむらの物流センターに直接運びこみます。この方式で物流コストを３割削減しました。
それから、ツタヤに行きました。倅はゲームソフトを売りました。私がサインして免許証を提示しました。倅は8000円と小銭をいくらか受け取りました。
倅は家で過ごす時間のほとんどをゲームするのと動画を見るのに使っています。たぶんゲームで生きているのです。

lecture of harassment
I went to Bepppu to attend a conference of labor union, from 22 to 23 May.
On the first day I had a lecture from some officers about new evaluation system, how to prevent mental disease and new agreement of employers and employees which start in two years.
Then we took dinner hearing the address from each department --clerks, practice teachers, school nurses, school librarians, female workers, part-time and correspondence school workers --then each district.
The dinner was family style. We shared the dishes.
After the conference I enjoyed spa. I shared a room with two acquaintance. We chatted over glasses of coffee flavor Shochu. A bottle of shochu contain coffee beans was gifted. Also we were given fruits.Both were taste so good.
Next morning I heard a lecture about power harassment and moral harassment. The tutor who came from the Atelier M, a consulting company was so great. She explained what to do if you met a harassment or if one of your co-worker met a harassment.
It's a heavy matter. I should remember which I've heard.
５月２２日から２３日 別府に研修に行きました。
初日は何人かの役員の方から新しい人事評価システムやメンタルな病気を防ぐにはどうしたらいいかや２年後から始まる労使協議などについて講義を聴きました。
それから夕食をとりました。その間、事務職、実習教諭部、養護教諭部、学校司書部、女性部、定通部からの挨拶を聞きました。そして各支部から聞きました。
夕食は大皿からとりわけるスタイルで、料理をわけあって食べました。
研修の後は温泉を楽しみました。私は他の２人の知人と同室に泊まりました。私たちはコーヒーの香りの焼酎を飲みながらしゃべりました。コーヒー豆を漬けてある焼酎を差し入れされ、フルーツももらいました。どちらもたいへんおいしかったです。
翌日午前中はパワーハラスメント、モラルハラスメントについての研修を受けました。講師はアトリエエムから来た方で、そても上手でした。私たちがハラスメントに遭遇したり、職場の仲間がハラスメントに遭遇したときどうしたらいいか説明してくれました。
とても重い問題です。聞いたことをしっかり覚えておかないといけません。

skin trouble
On 16 May Sunday, I watched OYT program on TV finding which hospital was on duty.
My daughter had gotten skin trouble on her face. On Friday she borrowed some sunscreen from her friends. She slathered it on her face before P.E. class.
In the night her face had become red and dry and slightly irritated.
The next day I had to go to Oita city for a meeting. In the Saturday night she slightly felt pain on her face.
So we decided to go to hospital on Sunday. I had known the doctor on duty was Doctor Matsuura.
We went to the Matsuura clinic in Chuoh machi. Doctor Matsuura told me there were two methods. A strong medicine might heal her skin immediately but it might stimulate her skin. Another method was moderate, taking medicine to cure the inflammation with putting some lotion on her dry skin. He asked me which method I would choose. I chose the moderate method.
Though doctor said “moderate” method, her damaged skin had healed soon.
I think sharing is a good thing. Her friend was kind enough to lend my daughter her sunscreen when she had forgot her own. But they should know sharing care tools has risk. They should not borrow nor lend them. It’s hygiene not stingy. She had a good lesson.
16日、日曜日、ＯＹＴのチャンネルで日曜当番医をさがしました。
娘の顔が少し赤くなっていました。金曜日、体育の前に友だちの日焼け止めを借りて塗ったそうです。その夜顔が赤くなってがさがさして少しかゆくなりました。
次の日、私は大分に出かけなくてはなりませんでした。娘の顔は夜になって少し痛みもありました。
それで私たちは日曜日病院へ行くことにしました。当番医は松浦さんでした。
中央町の松浦クリニックへ行きました。松浦先生は二つの方法があるといいました。強い薬をつけるとすぐなおるかもしれないが、皮膚を刺激するかもしれない。もうひとつは無難な方法で、かぶれを直す薬を飲んで皮膚には栄養クリームをつけるというもの。どちらにしますか？ときかれました。私は無難なほうにしてくださいといいました。
先生は無難な、と言いましたが娘の皮膚はすぐなおりました。
わけあうことはいいことだと思います。娘がじぶんの日焼け止めを忘れてきたので友達が親切に貸してくれたのです。でも、ケア用品を共用するのはリスクがあると知ったほうがいいです。貸し借りはしないようにすべきです。衛生上の問題でけちではありません。いい勉強になったと思います。

At my son's high school
On 9th May there was a PTA meeting of my son's high school. It is usually held on Mother's Day.
We decided to raise the student association fee from next year. Because the less number of classes the less the incomes.
The officer asked us whether we agree the resolution about using cell phone submitted by coalition high schools in Kyudai district. Many parents worry about letting their children have cell phone. The reason why is it is convenient for the business of prostitution and drag. He explained. Almost all parents applaud to show their agreement.
I also did because I had no reason for against.But I think it will bother us. If you give your children a great tools with some regulation of sites and time, you try your child's patience.
Being not accessible to internet the prepaid cell phone can cut the nuisance. If you need your children have a cell phone as a tool which you can reach them by, you rather choose prepaid cell phone.
I'm interested in the fact that many parents venture a choice they will be more bothered.
Another news I'd been impressed. The vice-principal and the teacher who deals with the second grade told me. "There were serial thefts. So we told students be sure keep their money and goods. You parents are supposed to say your children also."
The criminal person is guessed among the students by the situation.
If parents had heard about the case on the day it occurred, they could pay attention to their children if they had extra money or goods, if it was something unusual. I asked my son's home room teacher whether he could call me on the day from now.
I think my son is one of the potential suspects.
The person has some problems, I bet. If he/she/they had chosen the thefts as an expression of his/her/their frustration, he/she/they should be taught the way was incorrect. Till we will be known who did it, including my son, all students are suspects. So I can't be relieved.
Not quitting such crime repeat, the person is unfortunate. Including myself human beings make a mistake. I hope me and my children not to commit crimes.
５月９日倅の高校のＰＴＡがありました。いつも母の日にあります。
クラス数が減るにつれ収入が減ってきたため生徒会費を来年から値上げすることが決まりました。
役員さんが、久大地区高等学校ＰＴＡ連合の携帯電話使用に関する決議に同意するかどうか諮りました。多くの親が携帯電話を子どもにもたせることに不安をもっています。理由は売春やドラッグ産業に便利な道具だからです。そう説明がありました。ほとんどの親が拍手で賛成しました。
私も反対する理由もないのでそうしました。でも、それはそれで苦労すると思います。子ども達に便利な道具を与えておいてサイトや時間を制限するのは、子ども達の自制心を試すことですから。
ネットに接続できないからプリペイド携帯はその苦労をせずにすみます。もし、子ども達に単なる連絡手段として携帯電話をもたせるなら、それを選べはすみます。
多くの親があえて苦労の多い方を選んでいるという現実が興味深いです。
もうひとつ印象的だったこと。教頭先生と学年主任の先生が言いました。「盗難が続いています。生徒たちに金品の管理をしっかりするよう指導しています。保護者のみなさんからもお願いします。」
状況から考えると犯人は生徒の中にいると思われます。

犯人はきっと何か問題を抱えていると思います。もし何か不満の表現として盗むとい行為を選んだなら、その方法は間違っていると教えてやらなくてはいけないと思います。犯人が見つかるまで、倅も含めて生徒みんな容疑者なので気持ちが晴れません。
再犯を止めないと、犯人にとって不幸です。自分も含めて、人間は過ちを犯すものです。自分と子ども達がそうしないことを望みます。

５月９日倅の高校のＰＴＡがありました。いつも母の日にあります。
クラス数が減るにつれ収入が減ってきたため生徒会費を来年から値上げすることが決まりました。
役員さんが、久大地区高等学校ＰＴＡ連合の携帯電話使用に関する決議に同意するかどうか諮りました。多くの親が携帯電話を子どもにもたせることに不安をもっています。理由は売春やドラッグ産業に便利な道具だからです。そう説明がありました。ほとんどの親が拍手で賛成しました。
私も反対する理由もないのでそうしました。でも、それはそれで苦労すると思います。子ども達に便利な道具を与えておいてサイトや時間を制限するのは、子ども達の自制心を試すことですから。
ネットに接続できないからプリペイド携帯はその苦労をせずにすみます。もし、子ども達に単なる連絡手段として携帯電話をもたせるなら、それを選べはすみます。
多くの親があえて苦労の多い方を選んでいるという現実が興味深いです。
もうひとつ印象的だったこと。教頭先生と学年主任の先生が言いました。「盗難が続いています。生徒たちに金品の管理をしっかりするよう指導しています。保護者のみなさんからもお願いします。」
状況から考えると犯人は生徒の中にいると思われます。
