The new term

Last week there were the opening ceremonies of junior high school and high school, the entrance ceremony of high school, and a welcome party of my office.
My daughter wished to be mixed up the same class with five girls of her friends. But there was only one of them in her class. I hope she will make friends with the new classmates.
On 9 Apr. my second-eldest son took the spring home work exam, he had not finish the home work, so he has to overwork remaining at school every day. On the same day in the afternoon they held an entrance ceremony. My third eldest son seemed nervous. In his grade in junior high school there were forty three students. In first grade in the high school there are two hundred eighty students. I can imagine how he strained his nerves.
After the entrance ceremony students and parents went to each homeroom. I found four students from same junior high school in his homeroom. It is nice for him. His homeroom teacher is a P.E. teacher and a boat athlete. We were informed that a PTA assembly and an athletic meet will be held in May. Next week my son goes to a camp, so-called "Fresher's seminar", where the people who have just joined the high school are trained how to study. They will be taught from consulting dictionaries. They will stay two nights.
On Sunday my third eldest son and I went to the library near the high school to practice to go to school. I load his bicycle on my car, from the edge of town he rode on bicycle to the library. It was not so hard. After he came back from the seminar, we will go to school in this way. In the evening I have to pick him up every day.
My two sons are lunch-pails. I'm not confident whether I can make nice lunch.

新学期
先週、中・高校の始業式、高校の入学式、職場の歓迎会がありました。
娘は5人の友達と一緒のクラスになりたかったのに、その中の1人とだけ一緒でした。新しいクラスで友達ができるといいと思います。
4月9日は、2番目の倅が春休み課題テストを受けました。倅は課題が終わっていませんでした。毎日学校に居残りしてやらなくてはいけません。その日の午後は入学式でした。3番目の倅は緊張しているようでした。中学では彼の学年は43人でした。高校の1年生は280人です。緊張するのもわかります。
入学式が終わって生徒と親はホームルームに行きました。クラスに同じ中学からの生徒が4人いました。よかったです。担任の先生は体育の先生でボート選手です。5月にＰＴＡ総会と運動会があるそうです。来週は倅は合宿に行きます。「フレシャーズ　セミナー」と呼ばれる合宿で、入ったばかりの生徒が勉強の仕方を習います。辞書の引き方から教わります。2泊します。
日曜日、倅と私は高校の近くの図書館まで通学の練習に行きました。車に自転車を積んでいき、倅は町外れから自転車に乗っていきました。そうむずかしくはなかったです。合宿から帰ってきたらこのやり方で通学します。夕方は、私が毎日迎えに行かなくてはなりません。
2人の倅は弁当をもっていきます。おいしい弁当を作れるか自信がありません。
