On March 21, I went to Kagoshima city. Since I passed the Kagoshima I.C. I've got stuck in a jam. Then I went to a hospital to see my mom. Then I visited my brother's home.
I had sent contract to my brother asking to place some seals on inner margin, and to get his certification seal-impression.
As he was on work, I've got them from his wife.
I ate curry and rice with her. With taking lunch I asked her how she had prepared stuffs for her son and daughter --both college student --when they entered colleges. I've heard some recycle shops and one hundred yen shops.
I had left her home to real estate office. I put on the contract, payed money for rent the room, insurance, and the key.
I didn't rent any parking place. So I asked the clerk to rely my offer to the landlord to park my car any space on April 4 when I will bring my son and his belongings. He called the landlord. I was allowed to park my car in front of an office first ground of the apartment building, because on Sunday the office was closed and nobody use the space. I thanked my landlord.
I have to buy various things which my son needs. I think he can get along with a small refrigerator, because there's a supermarket 24 open five minutes from his home.
I went to Grantheata in Oita city on March 22 to watch a entertainment show.
An impersonator Kanda Seiko sang by imitating an ex idol singer Matsuda Seiko. I felt I have heard those songs but not sure.
Sanyutei Utanosuke was so great, he told a humoras story of Sakamoto Ryoma, he sometimes said with Kagoshima dialect accent.
His performance was high tempo. He won applause from the audience.
Hayashiya Kikuzo performed Rakugo.
At last Hayashiya Kikuoh was on stage. But he didn't play Rakugo, he chatted about members of "Shouten". I was disappointed. I like Rakugo of long story.
3月21日鹿児島市へ行きました。鹿児島インターチェンジを出たら渋滞でした。母の入院している病院へ行き、それから兄のところへ行きました。
兄には契約書を送ってあって割り印を押してもらうのと、印鑑証明をたのんでおきました。兄は仕事に行っており、兄の奥さんにもらいました。一緒にカレーをごちそうになりました。お昼ごはんを食べながら、そこの娘と息子 --二人とも大学生--が大学に入ったときどう準備したか聞きました。鹿児島市にあるリサイクルショップや百均の店のこともききました。
そこをおいとまして不動産屋さんに行きました。契約書を渡して家賃と保険料と鍵の代金を払いました。駐車場を借りていないので、4月4日倅を連れてきたときクルマを停めさせてもらえるよう大家さんにたのんでもらいました。て人さんは大家さんに電話し、1階の事務所前の駐車スペースに停めさせてもらえることになりました。日曜日はお休みでだれも使わないそうです。
いろいろ必要なものを買わなければなりません。冷蔵庫は小さいのでよいと思います。歩いて5分のところに24時間開いているスーパーマーケットがありますから。
3月22日大分市のグランシアタにショーを見に行きました。ものまねの神田聖子が昔のアイドル松田聖子のヒット曲を歌いました。聴いたことがあると思いましたがよくは思い出せませんでした。
三遊亭歌之介は坂本竜馬の噺をしました。ときどき鹿児島弁のアクセントで、スピード間があってよかったです。観客から喝采を浴びました。
林家木久蔵は落語をしました。
トリは林家木久扇でしたが、落語ではなく商店のメンバーについての世間話でした。がっかりしました。長い落語が好きです。

Planting trees
I participated an event "Planting trees for biofuel to prevent global warming" with my daughter, on 14 March. It was held by Hita conference on the prevention of global warming.
Till half century ago, there were many natural forest which supply not only timber but also firewood and charcoal as family use energy.
From 50s the biofuel have been replaced by oil or gas. Recently as public concern over environmental issues grows stronger, the biofuel have come to be paid to attention again, because it is thought renewable energy sources with a minimum detrimental impact on the environment. So the Hita conference on the prevention of global warming suggest to grow forest.
From 10 a.m. we planted trees at Fushiki land held by Hita municipal government. We worked in pairs. I worked with my daughter. I made up a flat hexatube and folded both edges into inside. The hexatube is a tree-shelter made from polypropylene plastic, the hight is about 1.4 m. It protects the tree from deer to be eaten during about two years before it can root.
We planted one hundred sixty broadleaf trees by noon. Then we ate riceballs and butajiru. Yummy. It was cloudy, lucky it didn't rain.
I've decided to buy a pellet stove within this year. So I'm glad to have taken part in this event. Someday I might be able to buy pellets made from the trees grown up in this forest. My daughter is also satisfied.

半世紀ほど前まで森林はふんだんにあり、木材以外に薪や炭といった家庭用エネルギーを供給していました。
50年代から木質燃料が石油やガスにとってかわられました。近年、環境問題に対する懸念が増して木質燃料が再び見直されています。再生可能なエネルギー源で環境負荷が最小限だからです。 それで、ひた地球温暖化防止協議会は森林づくりを提案しています。
10時から伏木の市有林で植林をしました。二人一組になり、私は娘と組んで作業しました。たたんであるヘキサチューブを組み立て、両端を中に折りこみました。ヘキサチューブとはポリプロピレン樹脂でできた1.4メートルほどの保護管です。根付くまでの2年ほど苗木がシカに食べられるのを防ぎます。
昼までに160本の苗木を植えました。それからおにぎりと豚汁を食べました。おいしい。その日はくもりで幸い雨は降りませんでした。
今年はペレットストーブを買おうと決めているので、参加できてうれしいです。いつかこの林で育った木でできたペレットを買えるかもしれません。娘も満足しています。

graduation ceremony
On 1 Mar. I've taken a leave. I went to Hita high school for my son's graduation ceremony.
The ceremony was held from 10 a.m. at shintaiikukan (new gymnasium). There was an another gymnasium where the graduates were waiting.
The gymnasium used to be called kyutauukukan (old gymnasium). It was renewed because of aging.When the repair work began, the teachers, students and parents wondered how it would be called. Since the shintaiikukan had been built it has been called kyutaiikukan. But it is inappropriate if the kyutaiikukan is newer than shintaiikukan.
The renewed one has renamed the second gymnasium. A wise resolution.
We call the two playground first playground and second playground. So we'll becom accustomed to the new name soon.
After the ceremony had started it began to rain. While the principal's address it sundered. It sounded so heavily that I thought someone had fallen the broadcasting machinery.
The representative of the graduates' address was given by Mr.Eiji K , ex student council president. The phrase "Coming the time the cherry blossoms fall, but our souls will never be scattered" made the climax of his speech.
The graduates were walking out in the applause.
On the way they exited each classes by turns, except fourth and fifth class, the students lined in front of teachers to say thanks to them, then turned around to the parents and second grade students to say also.
One of the graduate's mother said almost of the forth and fifth class students had not decided their course so they might not want to do such a thing. I thought they simply exited because not to take long time.
The graduates and their parents went to home room. In the end of the home room activity my son's teacher told the students about letting her know their result of the entrance exams, and about the third term exam. At the last each of us took the whole class mates photo.
For that was the first day, it was the Cinema Day usually. My son and I had planed to see the movie "Mother". I went to the theater. But the theater was closed. In front of the door there was a bill telling the day was closed, the next day would be a Cinema Day instead.
I was dis appointed.
On second Mar. my son and I went to see the movie "Mother". Both he and I were impressed. The scenario was tremendously excellent and the actress performed the fatal mother convincingly. I was moved so much.
3月1日休みをとりました。倅の卒業式のため日田高に行きました。
卒業式は10時から新体育館でありました。もうひとつの体育館で卒業生は待機しました。
その体育館は旧体育館と呼ばれていました。老朽化のため改築されました。改修工事が始まるとき、先生、生徒、親たちはそれを何と呼ぶようになるのだろうといぶかりました。新体育館が出来てからそれは旧体育館と呼ばれていました。しかし、旧体育館が新体育館より新しくなったらへんです。新しい呼び方は第２体育館でした。賢い決定です。グラウンドは第１グラウンド、第２グラウンドと呼んでいますから、すぐ慣れると思います。
式が始まってから雨が降り出しました。校長の挨拶のとき雷が鳴りました。ものすごい音だったので誰かが放送機器を落としたのかと思いました。
卒業生代表の挨拶は元生徒会長のえいじ君がしました。「時が来ればさくらの花は散ってしまうけれど、僕達の心は決して散り散りにはなりません」というせりふがクライマックスでした。
卒業生がみんなの拍手の中を退場していきました。4組と5組以外は、クラスごとに退場していく途中で並んで先生方の前でお礼を述べ、振り返って保護者と2年生たちに同じようにしました。
4組5組は進路が決まっていない生徒が多いからそんな気持ちになれないのかも、と母親の一人が言っていました。私は時間をとらせないように何もせず退場していったのかと思いました。
卒業生と保護者は教室に行きました。ホームルームの終わりごろ先生は生徒たちに入試の合否の連絡をすることと後期試験のことを言いました。最後にそれぞれがクラス写真を撮りました。
1日は通常は映画の日です。倅と私は『母なる証明』を見にいくつもりでした。でも映画館に行ったら閉まっていました。ドアの前に貼紙があって、本日は休みで代わりに明日を映画の日にすると書いてありました。
がっかりしました。
3月2日 倅と私は『母なる証明』の映画を見に行きました。二人とも感動しました。脚本がすばらしく、女優さんが破滅的な母親を説得力をもって演じていました。すごくよかったです。

I've read "Push"
I went to Housenji hot spring on tenth Feb. the day before holiday.
At the inn, I ate delicious dinner and took the bath three times in the evening and in the next morning took another bath.
The bath was like a huge cave, with going upstairs, there was an outside bath under the sky. Also there was a bath having falling water.
Those wearing the inns' yukatas could take bathes other inns' bathes in the aria.
The night I stayed and the next day I read "Push" written by Sapphire.
A girl who had been abused learned litercsy by a determined teacher then she figured out her circumstance clearly and grabbed her future.
The teacher's teaching method is so great.

She encourages her students write which they want to write even if spelling is wrong or immature.She replies them with correcting their sentence.
With the training her reading and writing ability has gone up.
This is an excellent novel which tells me learning grows up human beings. This novel has made into a movie which has gotten Sundance Film Festival audience award.
Today my second eldest son has gone to Sasebo to take an entrance exam. I had told him write an essay perfectly. Though if he wrote a perfect
essay, it would be difficult to pass the exam.
But he always looks through rose-tinted glasses and rarely worries.
The result will be known on fifth March. I guess he won't be success on the day. I hope he will be one of additional acceptances on 28 Mar.
2月10日 祝日の前の日、宝泉寺温泉に行きました。
宿でおいしい夕食を食べて、その夜は3回、翌朝1回 温泉に入りました。
お風呂は大きな洞窟のようで、階段を上っていくと外の露天風呂がありました。また打たせ湯もありました。
旅館の浴衣を着ている人はそのあたりの他の旅館の風呂にも入ることができます。
宿泊した日と翌日、サファイアの『プッシュ』を読みました。
虐待されていた少女が決然とした教師により読み書きを学び、それから自分の状況をくっきりと把握し、自分の進む道をつかんでいきました。
先生の教え方はすごいです。
こんな風でした。
彼女は生徒達につづりはまちがっていてもおかしくても書きたいことを書くよう力づけ、文を直しながら返事を書きます。
こうして練習し、少女の読み書き能力は上がりました。
これはすばらしい小説で、学ぶことが人間を育てることを教えてくれます。この小説は映画化されサンダンス映画祭観客賞をとっています。
今日は2番目の倅が佐世保に入試を受けに行っています。倅に、パーフェクトな小論文を書きなさいと言いました。小論文がパーフェクトでも合格することは難しいのですが。でも、倅は楽観的でめったに心配しません。
発表は3月5日ですが、その日は落ちると思っています。3月28日に追加合格に入っているといいなと思います。

Entrance exams
My second eldest son has sent three applications for admission office of colleges. The exam fees are 18000 yen, 17000 yen, and 17000 yen. The subjects which he is going to take the exams are English, Japanese, social study and essay. He still needs to study but it is no use to be obsessed. I let him “Charlotte’s web” so as he study English with amuse.
As if all that was not enough to worry about.
He should go to colleges to take exams. First, on Feb. 17 he’ll take an exam at Kagoshima city. I reserved a hotel. Then I’ve found how to get there, I’ve known the bus is convenient. The SANQ pass which you can travel for three days through Kyushu cost 10000 yen. I’ll buy it and I’ll reserve high way bus, from Hita bus center to Kiyama and from Kiyama to Kagoshima central station. My son has to change buses at Kiyama. Both he and I haven’t been there. I looked out in internet. He need to cross the road through underpass. Though we often go to Kagoshima, it is the first time for him to go there alone.
I’ve heard from the hotel to the college it takes fifteen minutes by bus. I recommend him to go to college one hour before the time, and to buy and bring lunch in the morning.
Next exam is on Feb. 25 at Sasebo city in Nagasaki Pref. I had reserved a hotel since I thought he would go by himself. After then my son told me there’s a tour plan by his high school. So he put in it.
If he won’t pass neither, he is going to take another exam on March 12 at Oita city. Those Hita high school students who take this exam will go by rental bus together like a school excursion. I don’t need prepare especially.
For he has committed a blunder at National Center Test, the possibility for success is under 50 percent.
I’ve read the Hallo work web-site and some youth support sites.
And I’ve prepare the column written by Yoko Ono telling the triumph over the pain caused her husband had died on her.
I hope both he and I can learn something from the failure.
うちの2番目の倅は3つの大学に願書を出しました。受験料は18000円と17000円と17000円です。受験科目は英、国、社と小論文です。まだ勉強しないといけないのですがしなさいと言ってもむだです。英語を楽しんで勉強できるよう『シャーロットのおくりもの』を貸してやりました。
心配ごとはそれだけではありません。受験しにいかなくてはなりません。1番目は2月17日 鹿児島市です。ホテルは予約しました。それから行き方を調べましたが、バスが便利なようです。SANQパスという3日間九州乗り放題の切符が10000円です。それを買って高速バスを日田バスセンターから基山、基山から鹿児島中央駅で予約します。基山で乗り換えないといけません。私も倅も行ったことがないのでインターネットで調べました。地下道を通って反対車線に行くようです。鹿児島には何回も行っていますが、倅がひとりで行くのは初めてです。
ホテルから大学まではバスで15分らしいです。1時間前には着いておいて、朝弁当を買ってもっていくように言います。
２番目の試験は2月25日、長崎県の佐世保です。自分で行くのかと思ってホテルを予約しました。その後、学校から行くプランがあるとききそれに申し込みました。
どちらも落ちたら3月12日大分市で受験します。日田高からそれを受験する生徒はバスで遠足みたいにして行きます。特に私が準備することはありません。
センター試験でへまをしたので、合格可能性は50パーセント以下です。
ハローワークやその他の若者支援サイトを読んでいます。 オノヨーコが夫に先立たれた苦しみを乗り越えたことを語っているコラムも用意しました。
私たち2人とも失敗から何か学べることを願います。

As if all that was not enough to worry about.

うちの2番目の倅は3つの大学に願書を出しました。受験料は18000円と17000円と17000円です。受験科目は英、国、社と小論文です。まだ勉強しないといけないのですがしなさいと言ってもむだです。英語を楽しんで勉強できるよう『シャーロットのおくりもの』を貸してやりました。
心配ごとはそれだけではありません。受験しにいかなくてはなりません。1番目は2月17日 鹿児島市です。ホテルは予約しました。それから行き方を調べましたが、バスが便利なようです。SANQパスという3日間九州乗り放題の切符が10000円です。それを買って高速バスを日田バスセンターから基山、基山から鹿児島中央駅で予約します。基山で乗り換えないといけません。私も倅も行ったことがないのでインターネットで調べました。地下道を通って反対車線に行くようです。鹿児島には何回も行っていますが、倅がひとりで行くのは初めてです。
ホテルから大学まではバスで15分らしいです。1時間前には着いておいて、朝弁当を買ってもっていくように言います。
２番目の試験は2月25日、長崎県の佐世保です。自分で行くのかと思ってホテルを予約しました。その後、学校から行くプランがあるとききそれに申し込みました。
どちらも落ちたら3月12日大分市で受験します。日田高からそれを受験する生徒はバスで遠足みたいにして行きます。特に私が準備することはありません。
センター試験でへまをしたので、合格可能性は50パーセント以下です。
