OYT

On Oct. 19 my third eldest son and daughter took the Eiken. Thier junior high school

teachers
supported them to prepare and the exam had held at thier school. My son took the third

grade.
I guess it was not difficult for him 'cause he had learned the level for three years at

junior
high school. My daughter seemed like having hard time to prepare. She had little knowledge.
She had not gotten the meaning, pronounciation, and usage of "What, Who, Where, Why, How".

Remembering my junior
high school days, it took long time to remember English words for I saw them first.

Especially
mastering to write exactly required much time. Of cause still I'm making mistakes in

writeing.
I hope her keeping on making efforts, as so-called "Practice makes perfect".
On Oct. 20 the Monday,in the evening the meeting of explaning the new information system
had held by City office. For I had to attend the high school's PTA, I asked my second eldest
son to attend instead of me.
After he came back home he said they just had read that written in the leaflet. Now at my
home we receive the TV program through the cable television -OYT Oyama Yusen Telebi-,and
access the internet by Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line. By 2011 they will termminate
analog broadcasting. The cable television transe from analog to digital broadcasting.
According to the leaflet they will serve CATVinternet. Both now you're using OYT or not,
you have to choose to use TV, or to use internet, or to use TV and internet, or neither
to use.
Now I'm using ADSL but I was wishing if I could get FTTH. This time,if the City office
was going to serve CATVinternet by Hybrid Fiber and Coaxial, my wishness would come true.
Only one thing I'm concern is who is the new manager.
Because the OYT has been carried on by Oyama town, there was public access. I'm worry
whether the public access will continue or not after the manager is changed.

１０月１９日２番目の倅と娘が英検を受けました。中学校の先生方が勉強のサポートをして
くれ試験も学校で行われました。 倅は３級を受けました。中学校で３年間習ったレベルなので
難しくはなかったと思います。娘の方が大変そうでした。　娘が勉強する様子を見ると知識が
とても少ないようでした。What　Who　Where　Why How　の意味も発音も使い方もまだ習得して
いないようでした。自分の中学校の頃を思い出しても、英語の単語は初めて見るものなので覚え
るのは時間をとりました。特に正確に書けるようになるのは。もっとも今でもよくつづりを間違
いますが。「習うより慣れろ」で勉強を続けていってほしいです。
　１０月２０日月曜日　夜　市役所の新しい情報システムの説明会がありました。私は高校のPTAに
いかなくてはならなかったので、代わりに２番目の倅に行ってもらいました。帰ってからリーフレッ
トにかいてあることを読み上げただけだったと倅は言っています。
　現在私のうちではテレビはOYT（大山有線テレビ）というケーブルテレビをりようして視聴して
おりインターネットはADSLを利用しています。２０１１年には地上波アナログ放送が打ち切られます。
ケーブルテレビはアナログからデジタルに移行します。リーフレットによるとCATVインターネットを
提供してくれるようです。現在OYTを利用している人もしていない人も、テレビを利用するかインタ
ーネットを利用するか、テレビとインターネットを利用するか、どちらも利用しないかのいずれかを
選択しなくてはなりません。
　私は現在インターネットはADSLを利用していますが光ファイバーがあればなあと願っていました。
今回CATVインターネットがHFC（光同軸ハイブリッド方式）なのだとしたら望みがかないます。
　ただひとつ気がかりなのは誰がこの事業を運営するかということです。
　OYTは大山町が運営していたので視聴者制作テレビ（パブリック　アクセス）がありました。運営
者が変わってもこのパブリックアクセスが維持されるのか心配です。
