What I was baffled on the trip

While I was traveling, I was interested in such a thing. There were many different type of toilet.
I used bathrooms at restaurant, museum, office building, station, airport, hotel, shopping mall, et cetera. I used simple type toilet, medium, laxury. About laxuary type toilets there were directions written in three or four languages, so I knew how to use it. About simple type toilet I knew how to use it easily. I was baffled by the medium type toilets, which had no directions, but had complicated keypad. In that case I had to sarch if there were anything to flush the toilet, button, lever, palm sign. Once I couldn't find out how to flush, finaly I stood up, when water came out. It worked by censer.I was relieved.
Nowadays the universal design concept has been spread. I hope the toilets will be which anybody can recognize how to flush it clearly. Perhaps when I'll get older, I won't be able to read the fine directions.

旅先でまごついたこと
旅行中こんなことに興味をもちました。便器にはいろんな型があることです。
　私はレストラン、博物館、オフィスビル、駅、空港、ホテル、商店街などでお手洗いを使いました。単純なもの、中くらいのもの、豪華なものを使いました。豪華なタイプのものは3ヶ国語、4ヶ国語で表示がしてあり使い方はわかりました。単純なタイプのものは使い方は簡単にわかりました。中間のタイプのものが困りました、表示はないし複雑な操作盤がありましたので。そんなときは、水を流すボタンかレバーが手のマークがないか探さないといけませんでした。一度どうやって水を流すのかわかりませんでした。しょうがなくたちあがったとき水がでました。センサーで動くようになっていました。ほっとしました。
　ちかごろはユニバーサルデザインの考え方が広まっています。便器も誰でも水の流し方がわかるようにしてほしいと思います。おそらく私が歳をとったら小さな字で書いてある表示は読めないでしょう。
